About LOHJ

An independent practice built on judgement, not headcount.

We're a small, senior team of advisors working with owners, boards and operators across the UK. We chose Blackpool as our home because that's where our first clients were — and we've never seen a reason to leave.

What drives us

Mission, vision, and how we work.

We believe good advice should be plain, honest and useful — not padded with frameworks you'll never open again.

Our Mission

To give business leaders the clarity and confidence to make the decisions that actually matter — without layers of consultants between them and the answer.

Our Vision

A UK where owner-managed and mid-market businesses have the same quality of strategic advice available to the FTSE — and can afford it.

Our Values

Straight talking. Real discretion. No upselling. And a strong preference for work that leaves clients stronger, not more dependent.

Our story

Founded in Blackpool. Working across the UK.

LOHJ Consultants Limited was founded to do one thing well: sit beside business leaders at the moments that matter. The name came from the initials of the four founding principles — Listening, Observation, Honesty, Judgement.

We've since grown our client base to include manufacturers, care providers, logistics operators, professional services firms and family businesses — but the working approach hasn't changed.

Every engagement is led by a senior practitioner. Every recommendation is one we'd act on ourselves. And every client relationship starts with a conversation, not a proposal.
